About Upper Gwynedd, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Upper Gwynedd Township is located in Montgomery County, PA, and it is home to nearly 16,000 residents. Many properties with North Wales and Lansdale addresses are actually part of Upper Gwynedd, and the community is part of the North Penn Valley Region. This community is home to Station Square – one of the first new transit developments in the suburbs of Philadelphia – and offers SEPTA rail service. The City of Philadelphia is located about 28 miles southeast of Upper Gwynedd by way of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Interstate 46, and the Schuylkill Expressway. This community is a popular place to live due to its slower pace despite being close enough to commute into Philadelphia for work.

There are a variety of attractions in the Upper Gwynedd area. Visitors looking for a day of rest and relaxation may like to visit the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa or Rapunzel’s Salon and Spa. Antique hunters should make a stop at Archive, while other popular shopping destinations in the area include West Main Consignment, the Montgomery Mall, and The Shabby Attic. Freddy Hill Farms is also found in nearby Lansdale, and with mini golf and frozen yogurt available, it is a great summertime destination for families.

Upper Gwynedd sits at a transitional area between humid continental and humid subtropical climate zones. Weather here is highly variable depending on the season, and the year will start off with a cold winter. Snowfall will vary, with some seasons bringing major snowstorms and others only experiencing a light dusting. Average daily highs in January are only about 40 degrees, and overnight lows fall into the mid-20s. These freezing conditions make it crucial that residents invest in a reliable heat pump or furnace system.

The spring and autumn months in the region are mild and comfortable, but summer weather is hot and humid. Average daily highs in July – the hottest month of the year – reach about 87 degrees Fahrenheit, but heat waves with high humidity cause highs to surpass 90 degrees over two dozen days per season. An energy efficient air conditioning unit will be a necessity to make it through this season safely.
